Yes. The keypair is generated on-device (or imported once) and stored in the macOS Keychain, and nothing key-shaped ever leaves your Mac. There is no account server. The only things the app talks to are Solana RPC (through our proxy, so the API key stays server-side), public price APIs, and an update check you can switch off.
The wallet is free to download and run, forever. Pro is a one-time $4.99, paid in SOL from inside the app, that unlocks swap in the notch and the power features. One purchase covers every wallet on that Mac. No subscription, updates free.
Solana RPC for balances and sending (through our hardened Helius proxy, with public RPC as automatic failover) and public price APIs for the USD figure. That is the whole network story.
Because a wallet you check with a glance and use with one tap has to be instant and nearly free, and that is Solana: sub-second finality, fractions-of-a-cent fees. You still get the whole Solana economy: SOL, USDC, and any token via Jupiter.

Your funds live on-chain, not in the app. Restore with the backup key the island makes you save at creation: import it on any machine, or into Phantom or Solflare (it is a standard base58 secret).
